The '2025 Youth World-Class Talent Development Project' being promoted by the City of Busan has completed its first document screening and has entered a new stage to select next-generation global talents. Competency-focused Talent Discovery through Sector-specific Evaluation... Intense 40:1 Competition Ratio

The first document screening was conducted by a judging panel consisting of 6 experts. They evaluated based on ▲willingness to advance ▲potential for growth ▲ability to contribute to the community.

A total of 120 applicants competed to select 3 final candidates, resulting in a competition ratio of an impressive 40:1. Among the applicants, innovators made up 38%, culture and arts 39%, and future new industries, which include advanced technology fields, accounted for 23%. This outcome demonstrates the interest and enthusiasm from each sector.

Of the 15 who passed the document screening, 5 will be selected from each sector to participate in the second presentation evaluation held in June. Subsequently, in July and August, the final 3 will be decided through public assessments involving a citizen evaluation panel.

The selected individuals will receive financial support of 20 million won in the first year, 50 million won in the second year, and 30 million won in the third year. Additionally, various competency enhancement programs including professional training, domestic and international mentoring, and global study opportunities will also be provided.
