A Close Library for Citizens, A New Step Towards Achieving the 15-Minute City

Busan City is working hard to expand public cultural spaces to improve the quality of life for its citizens.
In June and July 2025, the ‘Danggam Library’, ‘Yeonje Comic Library’, and ‘Deokcheon Library’ will open in Busanjin-gu, Yeonje-gu, and Buk-gu respectively. These three libraries are expected to become multi-cultural centers where local residents can communicate and express their creativity, beyond being mere reading spaces.
This will serve as an opportunity to enrich Busan's cultural assets.

The opening of the new libraries in Busan is an important part of expanding facilities to build the ‘15-Minute City Busan’. In the future, Busan City plans to build six additional libraries, including Seogu Library and Ilgwang Library, to reduce cultural gaps between regions and increase citizens' access to cultural life.
